Market women and artisans in Ijebu-Ode rally behind expanded ARAYA health insurance
“Traders across Apebi, Italupe, and Itamapako markets voice support for Hon. Daddah's legislative commitment to bring affordable, ward-level health insurance directly to low-income families.”

Traders, market associations, and artisan cooperatives across major commercial markets in Ijebu-Ode held an endorsement interactive parley with Hon. Rasak Oluwakemi Daddah on Wednesday.

The market women commended Hon. Daddah's verified public health record as Local Government Chairman, during which he constructed the Apebi Street Primary Health Centre through local Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) and pioneered the ARAYA subsidized health insurance scheme.

Iyaloja General and market leaders recounted the difficulties low-income traders face during unexpected medical emergencies. Hon. Daddah reiterated his commitment to sponsor legislation in the Federal House of Representatives for counterpart funding to subsidize primary care, maternal delivery, and essential medications for registered informal sector workers.

"Healthcare must meet our market women where they trade and live," Hon. Daddah emphasized. "No mother should lose a child or lose her working capital because of a preventable illness. We showed workings in local government, and we will show even greater workings in Abuja."
